Ball and Buck x Luminox Automatic Field Watch

Elite groups including the U.S. Navy SEALs have depended on Luminox timepieces for over 25 years as an essential component of their kit. It all started in 1992, when the Assistant RDT&E Officer for the Navy SEALs, Nick North, was asked to seek a more dependable watch for night missions and found the solution when he discovered Luminox. He worked with Luminox to develop a watch to their specifications and a revolution was born. With this foundation of battle-tested quality and Swiss-made precision, our decision to choose Luminox or our first timepiece collaboration was a natural one.

The vision from the onset was to combine our timeless design and sophistication with Luminox’s proven backbone of quality and performance. The heart of this timepiece, a Swiss Automatic SELLITA SW220-1 HH5 movement, is encased in a stainless-steel pressure-sealed case that is individually tested to a depth of 200 meters. On top and bottom are anti-glare coated sapphire crystals for clear and scratch-resistant views of the watch face and beautiful 26 jewel automatic movement. This watch is a day-date model so you’ll always know not just the date but also the day of week. And, with its 40hr power reserve, the watch will stay on time even if you take it off your wrist.

We infused our Ball and Buck design ethos by incorporating the Ball and Buck original camo onto the watch face and added blaze orange accents throughout the watch including within the Luminox Light Technology which stays glowing without any solar charging for 25 years. The watch includes a full grain leather band with cream single-needle edge stitching, a polymer case, and strap changing tool. If you look closely, you’ll spot a secret detail that pays homage to our founder’s four generations of sporting heritage.

A Limited Numbered Edition of 76 pieces will be at the launch alongside the Standard Edition that include a waxed canvas travel case, second watch band (olive green ballistic nylon), numbered certificate of authenticity, and premium box.
